Jamey Stevenson is a designer and programmer with over a decade of experience creating games for handheld, mobile, desktop and web. He is the founder of Tech Valley Game Space and the proprietor of Spoony Bird, an independent game development studio devoted to serving up flighty experiments in tiny, bite-sized portions.
Frederika grew up in Rhode Island and has lived in various parts of the country before coming to the Capital Region in 2014. She is a software QA Analyst/Tester and recently started designing games, primarily through game jams.
I’m a graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Game Design and Development! I worked at MAGIC Spell Studios during my time there. My main areas are programming and design.
I co-created a game with Terence Tolman here called SlapFriends which ended up with Tim Schafer playing it on stage at GDC 2016, so dreams can come true.
Patrick Totaro – Financial
Patrick is a hobbyist game developer. He is from New York City but has lived all over, including Flagstaff, AZ and Lawrence, KS. His real career involves dark magic and secrets humanity was not meant to know.
Taro Omiya is a former Software Engineer at Boeing, and founder of Omiya Games, an independent game studio focused on experimental games. He primarily uses Unity with C# to make games for the One Game A Month challenge.
His hobbies include collecting video game music, gushing about Nintendo, and talking about Japanese culture.
Helped run the Oswego State gaming group, the StoryTellers’ Guild. Earned a B. A. degree in Computer Science and Philosophy. Has a career in vacuum deposition of thin film metals at GE Healthcare. Volunteer at the Pride Center of the Capital Region. Official photographer at Exhuman. Gaming enthusiast and collector.
I moved to Albany from Israel in 2010 to pursue a PhD in Physics. Now I’m a scientist who is wading into game design. My focus is games which do strange things with space and time, although I develop more widely than that.
Aside from research and independent game projects, my background includes professional software development, student government, and teaching.
Dylan is a software developer with 10+ years experience specializing in Oracle Databases in the energy industry. Prior to this he earned a Bachelors in Computer Science from SUNY Albany, and served in the USMC as a communications technician and the data chief for his infantry battalion. Dylan’s hobbies include most things technology related, and staying active with running/biking/swimming/hiking.
Chase Bethea is a freelance video game audio professional who specializes in composition , sound design and voice overs. He is currently improving his skillset with audio implementation middleware such as FMOD, Wwise, Unity and Fabric. Chase loves the game community and loves collaborating with enthusiastic people that want to thrive and have fun!
I am a visual artist who has recently delved into the world of game design. I am drawn to concept arts (movies, animation, games), comics and mangas, character design, corporate identity design, graphic design, photography, and film, especially animated ones.
As a person, I am fascinated by the issues of renewable and sustainable technology, natural science, gastronomy, Japanese culture, and multiculturalism.
I’m a UX designer who recently moved to Troy from the SF Bay Area. Currently, I am working (remotely) for Symphony, solving communication problems for enterprise and professional users. Before Symphony, I spent a few years at Skype. Before my life as a designer, I worked as a software engineer at Microsoft. In my free time I enjoy running, reading, hiking, and playing the piano. I also love to travel, whether it’s to experience new cultures and foods or the great outdoors. Recently, I have taken up Spanish lessons in the hope of backpacking in Patagonia in the near future.

Terence is a 2D concept artist and game dev. (CLick on his name to see his artwork!) He was recently a concept artists on the Tale of Tales title “SUNSET”. He currently works at Girls-inc. teaching elementary age girls how to make their own video games! Always working on something fun ask how you can help!

To me, every language has its own beauty, and I would like to know, to listen and to understand different cultures. I spent two years in University of Rochester and then I transferred to University of Florida.
As an artist, my main focuses are game design, UI/UX design, photography and 3D animation. My career goal is working in game industry.

I’m a creature creator who’s been drawing since I could first use my hands to grab things. I’ve got a lot of ideas for games, but I’m more focused on the artistic aspects of them with an emphasis on creatures and the world(s) they live in.
