Principles In Level Design (October 21, 2015)

Why are some levels memorable, and others forgettable? We’ll be answering these questions and more in our introduction to level design. In this lesson, we’ll discuss the following topics:

  • What is level design, and how it differs from environmental art.
  • What are some useful skillsets for level design.
  • The recommended tools and methods to design levels.

None! For those who interested in doing some level analysis after the lesson, a copy of Wii U and Super Mario Maker may be nice, but not required.
