Albany Global Game Jam 2018
Hosted by Albany International Game Developers Association (Albany IGDA), we’ll be joining the largest game jam in the world, the Global Game Jam!
No experience in making games necessary! This is just a fun challenge for all of us, and often serves as an educational moment to learn how to work with deadlines. We will be going through game idea brainstorming and team building exercises to help you jump start your way to making games!
Join in as you make a game in 48 hours with a team! Meet up with other rapid game developers! Eat a lot of junk food! And most important of all, have fun!
For more details, as well as to RSVP, check out the Eventbrite page below:

It’s social night again and let’s celebrate with something a little special! Microsoft will be demonstrating their latest HoloLens technology at RPI in EMPAC all day on November 1st. Sounds like the perfect opportunity to get together and get social!
To learn more, check out EMPAC’s website.
There will be a talk at the theater starting at 7:00 PM, so let’s meetup shortly before it starts!

This month, our Troy Night Out will take place in Tech Valley Game Space itself. We’ll be celebrating GameFest with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, who will exhibit student-made games. Our (large) table will be open for locally created games as well; however, Macs and PCs will not be provided. Please bring in your own system.
The showcase is free and open to everyone, and we welcome you to show off games that are in any state of completion. So bring along your project for some playtesting and feedback, or just stop by and join in the fun!
